On behalf of the 8th grade, we would like to invite you and your family to a fun night at the movies! As you know, the 8th grade students are fundraising for our class trip, and this year we have the opportunity to host a night at the Chilton Twilight Drive-in Movie Theater on Saturday May 11. At approximately 8:20 p.m. The Croods (PG) and at 10 p.m. GI Joe 2: Retaliation (PG-13) will be played. A bake sale will be offered. Advanced tickets cost $5 and will be $6 at the door. We hope you can make it to this fun filled night.

All interested students in grades 5-8 are invited to audition for the upcoming musical production of “Through the Looking Glass!” The first round of auditions will take place January 28 – February 1 during music classes at CMS. 7th and 8th grade students not currently enrolled in choir should contact Mrs. Paffenroth or Mr. Appel to set up an audition time. Call backs will be on February 4th. The cast will be announced on Tuesday, February 5th. For the first round of auditions, students should prepare the following:

- Male lead = “I Just Cannot Wait to be King” (from The Lion King)
- Female Leads = “Tomorrow” (From Annie)
- Chorus Females = “My Favorite Things” (from The Sound of Music)
- Chorus Males = “Be Our Guest” (from Beauty and the Beast)
Students interested in a lead part should audition individually. Students interested in being in the chorus may sing with a partner. During initial auditions students will only sing. For call backs, students should be prepared to sing again and read for characters.
Below you will find mp3s of the audition songs to practice with. All students planning on auditioning should pick up an information sheet, an audition sheet and the appropriate music from Mrs. Paffenroth or Mrs. Tiegs in the choir room.
