Droid Rage - Team #3381

"We don't build robots...We build people."

Droid Rage Team #3381 is a FIRST robotics team based in Southern Manitowoc County. High school students from the area (Valders, Chilton, Reedsville, Howards Grove, Manitowoc Lutheran and Manitowoc Lincoln) meet at Valders High School to design, build and program a robot in six weeks to compete against other teams from around the globe in regional and international competitions. Additionally, the Communication and Marketing teams work throughout the season producing the website and Facebook page, press releases, open house events, the business plan, and a marketing portfolio to secure sponsorships. Each year the students must solve a new challenge that is kept secret until the first day of the robotics build season. The challenge for the season is released in early January and the teams are given until the third week of February -six weeks - to build a robot to play the game. The regional competitions are held in Milwaukee, WI March 10-12 and in Minneapolis, MN March 30-April 3. The World Championship is held April 27-30 in St. Louis, MO.

The Droid Rage - Team #3381 is hosting an open house on Sunday, February 20 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Valders High School Cafetorium. The team is hosting a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, March 20 at Valders High School Cafetorium. The public is welcome to attend both events to learn about the program and help the team.

Please go to the team's website, http://www.droid-rage-3381.org/index.php, to follow the team's progress and learn more about the program.

2011 Tiger Yearbook

This note is to let you know about the options available to you with your 2011 Tiger Yearbook, which will be on sale Monday, October 18th- Wednesday, Oct. 27th in the commons.

NEW THIS YEAR!!! The yearbook will be in color and it will also be slightly larger in dimensions.  This is why the basic yearbook will now cost $40.00 and if you want name stamping, $45.00.  You may also have a second line stamped on your cover, which could be "Class of 200?", depending on your grade level.  This second line would add $3.00 to the price of the book for a total of $48.00.  Also, you may add up to four icons to the cover of your book for an additional $3.00 per icon.  There are 50 icons to choose from (see back).  You may add an icon to your cover with either one line (name stamping) or two lines of personalization (name stamping  + class).  You may not have an icon or “class of” line without name stamping.
