Dear Parents of Choir and Band Students –
We invite you to an informational event that will address two large projects within the music department – hosting solo and ensemble festival on 3/12/16 and the 2017 Spring Music Tour to Nashville/Savannah/Louisville!
We will host this informational event on Monday, February 29 in the Engler Center for the Performing Arts at CHS. We will be available from 6-8 pm. The formal meeting will begin at 6:30 pm. We will be handing out preliminary itineraries/information/costs/chaperone opportunities for the trip and getting initial sign up numbers to continue planning. We will also be soliciting volunteers to help with solo/ensemble festival. We will need door monitors/room monitors/runners/judges’ lunch helpers/concession stand help. Parents and students can volunteer. All money earned from the concession stand will go toward the spring 2017 trip.
ALL 2016-2017 Choir and Band students are eligible to go on the spring 2017 trip – no matter what choir your child is registered for. Since this trip is the first combined band/choir trip, we feel it is important to have everyone on the same page hearing the same information at the same time. If you are a parent of a 2016 graduate that is performing at solo/ensemble, we would also like to have you at the meeting for volunteering purposes.
