First published on 30 January 2017 Posted in CES News & Press Releases

The 4K registration packets will be available in the Chilton Elementary School Office beginning January 30th.  You may pick them up anytime between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm.  If these times do not work, just call 920-849-9388 and we will make other arrangements to get the packet to you.  This packet contains all the registration materials needed, the 4K Handbook, and various other information regarding requirements.  When you pick up this packet, you will also schedule an appointment for your child’s screening.  The screening will take place on February 15th and 16th from 8:00am-3:00pm.  You are able to schedule an appointment during this timeframe that works best for you and your schedule.  You will bring your completed registration packet along with birth certificate with you to your child’s screening appointment and someone will go over the information in it with you and answer any questions you may have.  You and your child will meet with a nurse to talk about any health concerns you may have and there will be a vision screening.  Your child will also be screened for speech and language and motor skills by teachers.  You are with them throughout the screening process.  You will complete immunization information in the packet and there is a required physical with paperwork to be completed before they would start school in the Fall.

Two CHS Students Qualify for 2017 Microsoft Office Specialist National Championship

First published on 23 December 2016 Posted in CHS News & Press Releases

Congratulations to Alex Brandt and Lauren Mortimer who have qualified for the 2017 Microsoft Office Specialist National Championship. Both students are taking the MS Office Suite class at CHS. In this class, students earn two credits from FVTC and can become certified in MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel. The certification demonstrates that one has the knowledge, skills, and abilities to productively use Microsoft Office.

When students register for the certification, they are automatically entered into the MOS World Championship. To qualify, students need to have the top score in their respective state on one or more of the following certifications: MS Word 2013, MS Excel 2013, MS PowerPoint 2013, MS Word 2016, MS Excel 2016, or MS PowerPoint 2016. Chilton High School was privileged to have two students take the top honors. Alex Brandt qualified in MS Excel 2016 with a score of 891. Lauren Mortimer qualified in MS PowerPoint 2016 with a score of 900. Each will receive a certificate as well as the chance to compete in Orlando, FL this June if they are available. CHS also had Anika Schmitz place third in the state in Excel and Amy Schmitz place third in the state for PowerPoint. They each will be awarded a certificate.
